CANYONS OF RIVERS ZRMANJA, KRUPA AND KRNJEZA

Canyons of rivers Zrmanja, Krupa and Krnjeza are about 35 km away from Puljana. The canyons are part of the Velebit Nature Park and there are plenty of places that you should definitely see and visit. Especially nice places to see are Monastery Krupa and Kudin Bridge. The starting point for rafting and canoe safari is in Kaštel Žegarski, and a beautiful hiking trail leads through the "Vratolom" area to the canyon, along the Krupa River to the Kudin Bridge and the school in Golubić village (approximately 6 hours). One of the hiking trails starts from the school in Golubić to the canyon and Kudin Bridge and ends at the Krupa Monastery. For a less demanding, we suggest going to the Krupa Monastery by car, further on the road to Golubić village, with a stop on viewpoint called Krnječka Glavica (a beautiful view of the River Krnjeza canyon). From village Golubić a pedestrianized path leads down to the canyon of the Krupa River and the Kudin Bridge (downhill takes 45 minutes), and back to the car in Golubić. Refreshments you can find in the restaurant Zrmanja in the town of Muškovci, where the rafting and canoe safari ends, or in the beautiful Mićanov reastaurant, located on the Obrovac-Kistanje road.
